On the occasion of International Relaxation Day, we want to talk about the importance of rest. Sleep, rest. Call it what you want, the fact is that, without a doubt, sleeping is one of the things that the human being cannot work without. The body is constantly working and needs, both physiologically and cognitively, a rest to recover.
Performance and productivity
According to a study by the University of Cambridge, sleeping less than 6 hours a day reduces efficiency in day to day and, of course, at work. And not only that, but it also negatively affects the energy and mood of the person who, whether you like it or not, will end up affecting the rest that surrounds it.
If you sleep more you concentrate better and you will respond faster. But, rest is not only limited to sleep, but also to disconnect.
The little breaks
If we could choose … Who would not want to sleep for hours and hours? Sleep is essential for the mind. But, unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way. You have to work, but that doesn’t mean you have to eliminate rest.
Taking short breaks and very often during the day is beneficial for our performance, since we reactivate our brain. For this reason, it is important to create areas where you can relax and disconnect, where you can interact and enjoy those minutes or hours of peace. And we are experts in that.
